The family members of former UP minister Amarmani Tripathi’s daughter-in-law Sara, who was allegedly killed in an accident last week, Monday demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of the 27-year-old law graduate. The family members, who met DGP Jagmohan Yadav, also submitted an application demanding a narco analysis test of Amarmani and the girl’s husband, Amanmani, who had escaped unhurt in the car crash in Firozabad district last week.

Amarmani, who is serving life term for murdering a poet with whom he allegedly had an affair, is currently admitted at a Gorakhpur hospital under judicial custody.

In the application, Sara’s mother Seema Singh said the car accident could be a “conspiracy” by Amarmani to murder her daughter as he was against her marriage with his son.

Statimg that that some of the findings of the girl’s post mortem report “raised doubts over her death”, Seema said, “a narco analysis test on Amanmani can answer a lot of questions”.

IG, Law and Order, A Satish Ganesh said the DGP has sought some “additional details” from Sara’s family after which the matter will be reviewed and a decision will be taken.

The family members said they will soon submit the details.

The family members who have already said that Sara wanted to end her two-year-old marriage with Amanmani while he was against it, cited more incidents suggesting their relationship had been troubled. “Once when I was in Delhi, she called me to tell that Amanmani had beaten her badly after which I warned him to never do so again,” Seema claimed.

The deceased girl’s younger brother Harsh said Sara had once told him about a similar incident of being beaten up by her husband. “It was about four months back. I was in Gurgaon then. But later Amanmani made up and she did not discuss the issue anymore,” he said.

Harsh claimed that gunshots were fired outside their house before Sara’s marriage to scare them. “Lately, there had been a lot of trouble in their relationship. But, in last 10-12 days, Amanmani had started talking to us to take us in confidence. We had never allowed Sara to go with him for such a long period. May be it was all planned,” he claimed.

Sara had left her house on Thursday morning in a car with Amanmani, after telling her family members that they were going on a trip, first to Delhi, then Shimla and Manali. She was killed when the car fell into a pit in Firozabad district.

Sara’s family has alleged foul play in the accident saying that Amanmani, who was allegedly driving the car, had escaped unhurt and there was no blood on his clothes. They claimed that Amanmani’s uncle, Shyam Narayan Tiwari, and cars from Gorakhpur were present in Firozabad by the time they (Sara’s family) reached there from Lucknow.

The distance, by road, from Lucknow to Firozabad is about 320 kms while from Goarkhpur it is about 600 kms.

The family claimed that Sara was last active on her WhatsApp account at 11.32 am, more than two hours before the crash. Seema claimed that she has been told that Sara had died nearly four hours before the reported time of accident.

“Amarmani may be a big man, but he can not kill somebody. What is the government doing? All who are involved in this should be punished with death penalty or life term,” she said.

Even though she denied getting any threats, Seema has requested for security to her family. Amanmani had been evading arrest in connection with a kidnapping and loot case and was arrested after the accident.
