The UP government has decided to review all Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the state, including the ongoing ones like the Yamuna Expressway.

Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Commissioner Anil Kumar Gupta on Monday said all PPP projects in the state would be reviewed and decision on their future taken on case-to-case basis.

Gupta also refuted speculation about any decision by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to inaugurate the Yamuna Expressway. He said completion of merely a road does not mean that the project is completed. In a press release issued later in the day,Gupta said,“Project is regarded as complete when facilities like electrification, green belt, etc, have been ensured.”

Meanwhile, the state government has also started the process for a study on alignment of eight-lane greenfield project from Lucknow to Agra. The task has been given to the Public Works Department.
