Ajit asks CM to speed up bridge construction

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh has requested Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for early construction of a bridge over Yamuna river in his constituency Baghpat.

Amid strained relations with the SP,RLD president and Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh has requested Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for early construction of a bridge over Yamuna river in his constituency Baghpat.

The bridge connects Chaprauli in Baghpat and Hathwala in Haryana. Akhilesh had announced construction of the bridge during his Ghaziabad visit on June 3.

Singh,in his letter to the CM,has said that as the proposed bridge is an important connecting link between the two states,half of the construction cost will be borne by the Haryana government.

Singh also said that Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has told him that his government is ready with the proposal for the bridge,which will be submitted to the National Capital Region Planning Board.

Haryana has also written two letters to the UP government for sending a formal consent for bearing half of the construction cost of the bridge.

The Rural Development Corporation of Haryana has also given a proposal to hold joint meeting with the Public Works Department of the UP government for finalising the detailed project report ,location and other details related to the bridge.

Recently,two MPs of RLD were served notice for hobnobbing with the SP.
