The Indian Air Force (IAF) chief N A K Browne completed his two-day farewell visit to the Central Air Command (CAC) here Monday. The IAF Chief and his wife,Kiran Browne,had arrived in Allahabad Sunday. The IAF Chief,who was born and spent his early life in Allahabad,will be retiring December 31.
According to a defence spokesperson,the IAF Chief addressed air warriors and civilian personnel of the CAC Headquarters and stressed on the need to remain firm on core values and perform with single-minded devotion and professional skills to help IAF play a pivotal role in nations defence.
The IAF chief also recalled the prompt response by the CAC to massive human tragedy that took place in Uttarakhand,and praised the role of IAF during Operation Rahat that was launched in the aftermath of the tragedy,said the spokesperson.
On the occasion,the IAF Chief also released a coffee table book of the CAC at an official function. The IAF chief and his wife left for Delhi in the afternoon. He was presented with a ceremonial guard of honour at Bamrauli Airport.
