Ahead of Samajwadi Partys (SP) rally at Bareilly on November 21,partys general secretary Ramgopal Yadav has warned the party leaders from the district and Moradabad division to desist from sabotaging the rally.
Incidentally,Rampur, the native district of Minority Welfare Minister Azam Khan also comes under Moradabad division. Ramgopal and Azam do not share good relations in September,Ramgopal had demanded that Azam should resign for skipping the SP national executive meeting at Agra.
In a letter dated November 10,Ramgopal has mentioned that while workers are brimming with confidence, some party leaders are engaged in self interest and are criticising the state government and party thus lowering the confidence level of the party workers.
The letter also hints at action against such leaders as SP leadership is keeping a close watch on them.
Bareilly district unit president,Veerpal Yadav confirmed receiving the letter from Ramgopal. I have received the letter and we are all unitedly engaged in preparing for the rally, he said.
He however denied to comment on Ramgopals attack on some party leaders. It is Ramgopals words and he knows better. I am not facing any sabotage from any quarter, he added.
After Azamgarh and Mainpuri, the SP is organising its third rally on November 21 at Bareilly. Badaun MP and Mulayams nephew Dharmendra Yadav is the convenor of the rally. Since BJP is also organising its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modis rally in Agra same day,SP is using all its resources to make its gathering bigger and better.
Ramgopals letter has been sent to all the district presidents of SP in Bareilly and Moradabad division, ministers,MPs,chairmen of various government corporations and its members, chairmen of district panchayat,MLAs,former MP and MLAs and block pramukhs. SP had earlier changed the date of Bareilly rally from November 9 to November 21 to give time to Dharmendra Yadav for mobilising crowds.
