Two brothers died while their elderly father, who tried to stop a fight between his five sons, was grievously hurt in the Gadhi Kaalia village of Agra Tuesday morning. According to the police, the fight broke out over a property dispute.
No arrests have been made so far and according to the police, the accused brothers have absconded after the incident.

The police said 75-year-old Rajendra Singh had gifted a piece of land to his eldest son Om Prakash (48) with whom Singh and his younger son Hem Prakash (35) lived in Mathura. Singh’s three other sons live in the family’s house in Gadhi Kaalia village under Kagaraul police station in Agra.
According to the police, the gifting of the land to the eldest son had become a bone of contention among the brothers.
The police said Singh had come to his native village Monday night along with his two sons. A verbal dispute among the brothers started early Tuesday morning which took a violent turn when one of the brothers, Kalua (44), took out his axe and attacked Om Prakash and Hem Prakash. The two other brothers, Bhanu (40) and Harveer (30), also joined Kalua and a fight broke out.

“Om Prakash and Hem Prakash died on the spot while Rajendra Singh has been admitted to the hospital. The doctors said his condition is critical,” Subhash Chand Pandey, the in-charge of the Kagaraul police station, told The Indian Express.
According to the police, the gifting of the land to the eldest son had become a bone of contention among the brothers.
