An eight-year-old boy died when an electricity pole,which was hit by a tree,fell on him in Lucknow’s Madiaon police station area Monday.
Police said the incident took place at 11 am when Aman was playing a few yards away from his house near a garden in Dhatigara village.
Police said Surendra Singh and Rakesh Singh,both residents of Bakshi Ka Talab,were cutting a Neem tree in the garden,which hit an electricity pole. The pole fell on Aman and he died on the spot.
Aman’s father Santram,a labourer,alleged his son was killed by Surendra and Rakesh and that they also harassed him.
Police have lodged an FIR against Surendra and Rakesh at Madiaon police station under IPC 304-A (death caused by negligence) and relevant sections of the SC/ST(Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
