A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified man in Gomti Nagar area early on Monday.
The police lodged an FIR on the complaint of the girls father Bechelal. Bechelal said the girl was sleeping at their home in the shanties near the railway track in Vishwas Khand locality,along with other family members,on Sunday night. However,she was found missing at 3 am,when her father woke up. Later,she was found sleeping on a hard bed outside the shanty of one Munna Kalabaaz near Mithaiwala Chauraha. Bechelal said there was blood on her undergarments,suggesting that the girl had been sexually assaulted. Sub-Inspector AK Shukla said the police were inquiring into the incident. He said the medical examination report of the girl is awaited.
Protect Muslims in Myanmar: Mulayam to Centre
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav has expressed concern over the reported killings of Muslims in Myanmar and urged the Centre to take steps for their protection. In a statement,he said that the killing of 50,000 Muslims in Myanmar is a serious issue. Our concern and anger over the sufferings of Muslims is genuine and natural. The External Affairs Ministry should intervene in the matter, he said.
