Two persons were found murdered near a railway crossing on the outskirts of Pratapgarh city on Saturday night. Police said the bodies of Firoz and Aijaz,both residents of Bagal Mohar village situated a few kilometres away from Pratapgarh,were found at around 10 pm in Mal Godam area at a railway crossing,about 200 metres away from Pratapgarh railway station.
Pratapgarh Additional SP Asha Ram said that initial investigation has revealed that the two youths,both in their mid-twenties,who belonged to the same family,were shot by unidentified persons travelling in an SUV near the railway crossing. He said the bodies were recovered from near the railway track and a case is being lodged at the Government Railway Police(GRP) station. Police said the youths were coming to their village from Pratapgarh city on a motorcycle when they were killed. While Firoz ran a poultry farm at his village,police were collecting details about the background of Aijaz who is his cousin.
GRP Sub-Inspector B P Singh Sengar said the family members have not told them about any suspects yet. He said they were yet to examine the bodies to find out the number of gunshots received by both of them.
Soon,helpline on education-related problems
The Basic Education Department will soon start a helpline for addressing various problems being faced by students,teachers and others involved in delivery of education services,department officials informed on Saturday. The department will prepare an exhaustive list of possible problems,issues and complaints in basic education and how they can be addressed by which officials, said Mahendra Singh,Additional Director,Basic Education.
