13 Lankan tourists taken ill after taking breakfast in hotel

Balrampur:Thirteen Sri Lankan tourists were taken ill after consuming allegedly contaminated food here,police said. The condition of three of them is stated to be critical. The tourists,who were staying in a hotel here,were taken ill after taking breakfast and were admitted to the district hospital. The doctors attending the patients said it is a case of food poisoning. Hotel manager A.K Singh blamed it on outside food. “They had consumed food at some place outside the hotel and were taken ill,” he added.

125 children fall ill after eating prasaad

Mahoba:About 125 children were taken ill on Saturday after consuming prasaad during Navratri festivities at a temple in Budera village in the district. The children in the age group of 13 to 15 years complained of nausea and vomiting after consuming the prasad,police sources said. A Primary Health Centre (PHC) team rushed to the village soon after the incident,some of the children were also taken to the PHC,they said,adding that all children were reported to be out of danger now.
