12 new swine flu cases in UP

The total number of cases in Lucknow have reached 705 this season.

Twelve new cases of swine flu were reported from across the state on Saturday, taking the total number of affected persons in UP to 877, health department officials said here.

With 10 new patients, Lucknow recorded the most number of cases on Saturday, while one case each was reported from Allahabad and Gorakhpur. The total number of cases in Lucknow have reached 705 this season, of which most have recovered.

Lucknow has also recorded eight deaths so far while three people have died in Bareilly, two in Kanpur, and one each in Unnao, Saharanpur and Badaun due to swine flu, detected in 27 districts of the state so far.
