UP: Raped by father and brother for 9 years,Lucknow woman tells Akhilesh Yadav

Following the complaint,the officials referred the matter to Mahila police,which arrested her father,a Class IV railway employee,and her brother,who works at a shop in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar.

The woman was sent for a medical examination. The woman told the police her mother was aware of her ordeal and told her not to complain as it would damage the family’s reputation

The woman also said she had undergone several abortions. The mother was also arrested.

Shiva Shukla,Station Officer of the Mahila Police Station,said the woman told them that she has been sexually abused since the age of 16. Her father first sexually exploited her under the influence of alcohol. A few years later,her younger brother also started sexually abusing her.

Shukla said the woman told the police that she could not gather courage to approach the police because her father and brother used to beat her whenever she complained.

However,during a discussion with her colleagues at the place where she is doing a beautician’s course,she came to know she could approach the CM at his Janata Darshan.

Circle Officer of Hazratganj Dinesh Yadav said the woman will be moved to a safe place.
