Veteran Trinamool MP Sougata Roy admitted to hospital in Kolkata
The Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata said Sougata Roy is currently undergoing investigations, and his condition is being continuously monitored.

The Belle Vue Clinic stated that Roy had several episodes of diarrhoea on Sunday. The TMC leader is currently undergoing further investigations, and his condition is being monitored under the care of his family physician Dr Manoj Shah.

Despite these concerns, the hospital said, Roy’s blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation are stable. He is awake and alert, and had tea and snacks on Sunday evening. He is receiving round-the-clock monitoring with his vital signs accessible to consultants online, and continuous nursing care is being provided, it added.
