TMC chief Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with party’s leaders on Monday, has been postponed to October 17. Party leader Partha Chatterjee said the decision was taken due to cyclone Hudhud. “Anticipating a natural calamity, the meeting has been postponed to October 17,” Chatterjee said.
Chatterjee said that he has “no idea” about the meeting’s agenda as “only the Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) knows why she has convened the meeting”. Sources in the party, however, said the meeting will be a platform to establish Chatterjee’s growing clout within the party fold and “clip the wings of party’s national general secretary Mukul Roy”.
