IN A joint operation of the Interpol and the state CID, a software company in Salt Lake’s Sector V was sealed for allegedly duping German citizens.
Police sources said the IT company, Kailash Infotech Pvt Limited, was owned by Rajat Kayal and Rohit Kayal. It provided tech support to a German company.
“The German company, in turn, provided tech support to different companies and they had allegedly duped people worth crores of rupees,” said an investigating officer.
The operation — held in two phases on Wednesday and Thursday — was conducted by members of the state CID and four German members of the Interpol. “On Wednesday, we went to the premises and began a probe… On Thursday, the office was sealed,” said a senior officer. No arrests have been made so far in the case.
