South Eastern Railway’s four-day ticket checking drive amassed a total fine of Rs 98,253 with over 385 passengers found travelling either without tickets or with irregular tickets. The drive,launched at Kharagpur Division from June 17 to 21,also brought to the authorities notice the litter at railway premises. SER General Manager A K Verma launched the ‘fine-imposing’ drive and passengers caught littering the station were fined on spot.
