Rice from Bengal to be served at London Olympics

The West Bengal government will send a consignment of 20 kg of GobindaBhog and Tolaipanji varieties of rice for the 2012 London Olympics.

The West Bengal government will send a consignment of 20 kg of GobindaBhog and Tolaipanji varieties of rice for the 2012 London Olympics. The two varieties of rice,mostly grown in North Bengal districts,will be served to guests who will attend the mega event,Agriculture Marketing Minister Arup Roy said Monday.
