CPM leader meets SEC over security of women
CPM leader Rabin Deb met SEC officials on Tuesday and urged the poll panel to assure the voters, particularly women voters, about safe voting during the fifth and final phase. He also demanded that adequate security be provided at the 329 blocks where counting will take place on July 29. An area marked by 200 metre radius from the counting centres should be cordoned off . The SEC has been a failure in providing security right from the nomination process. The SEC had failed to live up to its assurances. The District Panchayat Electoral Officer too,is not listening to the SEC instructions, Deb said.
