Earthquake hits Myanmar, strong tremors felt in Kolkata and Bangladesh

According to initial reports, the epicentre of the earthquake was Myanmar, while tremors were also felt in Bangladesh and Indonesia. The earthquake’s intensity was measured at 6 on the Richter scale.

People rushed out of their homes after tremors were recorded.
Ridhita Mondol of Kakurgachi said, “ I was sitting on a chair and I suddenly felt like something was moving. I immediately rushed out of my home and stood on the road.”
Arunava Debnath of Salt Lake said she noticed the fan swinging while having dinner. “I realised that it was an earthquake and ran outside,” she said.
