Anil Goswamy,the Union Home Secretary designate,who came to Kolkata last Friday to meet Governor MK Narayanan and the top brass of the state administration,will be visiting city again on June 28 to have discussions with the top brass of the state administration. The last trip was described by the state government as a familiarisation trip by the home secretary-designate.
Goswamy is taking over as Union Home Secretary,a day after he comes to Kolkata,on June 30,replacing RK Singh.
It is on June 28 itself that the Supreme Court has fixed its hearing for the panchayat case filed by the State Election Commission on deployment of central forces.
The apex court has already sent notices to both the Central government and the state on the issue.
