Moving a petition, advocate CR Panda has requested the High Court to restrain the state government from paying compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the each of the victims’ families. About 173 persons lost their lives after consuming illicit country liquor and the state government decided to pay compensation of Rs 2 lakh to each of the victims’ families.
