The Calcutta High Court today dismissed Dunlops appeal against a trial court order directing the company to wind up and pay off its creditors.
Several companies and employees of Dunlop had filed petitions in the Calcutta High Court last year to wind up the company as it had failed to meet the liabilities of the creditors and employees.
Advocate Sk Mujibor Rahman, counsel of the Dunlop managers, said that now Dunlop would have to be wound up. However, the official liquidators will have to approach the Supreme Court to vacate the stay order passed in February.
