Taking a dig at Mamata, Modi in his speech asked how the value of her paintings has shot up and who had bought it for Rs 1.8 crore.

“CD of the speech, factual report and a transcript have been sought from Hooghly DM,” Bhattacharya said.

Referring to the missing logbook at the strongroom on Kyd Street where EVMs had been kept, Bhattacharya said a detailed report had been received and sent to the EC.

“A report identifying negligent persons would be sent to the EC,” he said. Senior CPM leader Rabin Deb said, “We have demanded all EVMs stored there be replaced.”
