The Central Pollution Control Board has written to the state government to conduct a further study of the power plant project at Nayachar in East Midnapore district. This was revealed by managing director,West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation,Nandini Chakrabarty. The CPCB has asked us to file the report in two months, Chakrabarty said.
The power plant is part of several projects to be taken up by the Universal Success Group of NRI businessman Prasun Mukherjee. There will be an investment of altogether Rs 40,000 crore in the projects that include the thermal power plant,a tourism hub,an industrial park,a fishing hub,to name a few.
