The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed the West Bengal government to publish the report of the Sixth Pay Commission by July 1.

The order was passed in response to a case filed by government employee Debaprasad Halder, who alleged that despite repeated appeals, the report had not been made available online. He argued that while the state claims to follow the Sixth Pay Commission in its submissions in the Daily Allowance case, no corresponding documentation is publicly accessible.
