Basu on partial ventilation,Gowda visits hospital

The medical bulletin issued by the hospital said Basu had an episode of irregularity of heart beat last night,which was treated adequately.

The medical bulletin issued by the hospital said Basu had an episode of irregularity of heart beat last night,which was treated adequately. There has been no significant improvement in his condition and he continues to be on partial ventilation support. His vitals remain more or less same as yesterday. He is tolerating Ryle’s tube feeding. Former prime H D Deve Gowda and Kerala chief miniser V S Achyutanandan visited the veteran Communist at the hospital. Gowda later said when he told Basu he wanted to talk to him,the CPM patriarch responded. “His brain is functioning,” the former PM said.
