Bail plea of drug peddler rejected

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail petition of Nelson Vincent who was arrested for selling hashish.

The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail petition of Nelson Vincent who was arrested for selling hashish. A team of Special Task Force (STF) of the Kolkata Police had arrested Vincent from Ballygunge on August 28,2008. Public prosecutor Ashimesh Goswami pleaded that the police had recovered 320 gram of hashish from him worth Rs 3.20 lakh. The police had nabbed him near a restaurant when he was waiting for his customers. The police have completed the investigation and framed a chargesheet against Vincent,Goswami said.
