BJP’s women wing took out a rally on Saturday against the state government over “dengue outbreak” in West Bengal. The rally was led by BJP state Mahila Morcha president Locket Chatterjee at Hazra More in south Kolkata. During the rally, Chatterjee accused the state government of not being serious enough to tackle the crisis. She demanded that the government should take steps on an emergency basis to deal with the situation.

“The state government has failed to tackle the outbreak of dengue. Instead of taking it seriously, they have been trying to hush up the cases. I wonder why instead of providing treatment they are more into keeping it a secret,” said Chatterjee.

The state BJP had earlier this week staged a protest rally in Salt Lake area against the alleged failure of the government to tackle the outbreak of the vector borne disease in the state and demanded immediate resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from the post of state health minister.
