The National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought a revised action taken report from Birbhum Superintendent of Police in connection with the case involving TMC leader Anubrata Mondal, who allegedly used abusive language against Bolpur inspector-in-charge Litan Halder and his family during a phone call last month.

On Tuesday, the NCW sent a second letter to the SP, expressing “serious dissatisfaction” with the police response and sought a revised action taken report within five working days. It stated, “While an action taken report (ATR) has been received, it is grossly inadequate… and fails to comply with the requisitions made by the Commission.”
