The mentor group of Presidency University has set 2017 the year the institution completes 200 years as the target by which to become a major centre of educational excellence. This was announced by Sugata Bose,chairman of the 10-member group,Sunday.
The group will have a two-day meeting starting tomorrow at the university. We will discuss what has been achieved in the last two years and how we can prepare for the 200-year celebrations in January 2017, said Bose.
In the last two years,a good number of faculty was recruited in the university,he said. So far 150 members were recruited and they are all young and talented, he added.
