BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena on Friday, in a press conference, alleged that the police under the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government has no intention to nab Suresh Dhaka, who is one of the main accused in the question paper leak case. Meena alleged that if Dhaka was caught then the names of dozens of Congress MLAs and half a dozen ministers would come out of the closet.
Later, in a dramatic move, Meena went to Ganpati Plaza — a building situated in Jaipur’s MI Road which houses multiple shops and commercial establishments — and claimed that Rs 500 crore cash and 50 kg of gold were stashed in private lockers. Meena alleged that people close to the ruling Congress government had kept the money earned from corruption including from leaking question papers in the lockers.
In recent times, Meena has been consistently holding press conferences and making ‘revelations’ about issues such as government recruitment examination question paper leaks, which the BJP leader claims to have happened with the complicity of Congress leaders.
Meena on Friday also said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the Dungarpur residence of Dinesh Khodniya, who he claimed was close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
“Dinesh Khodnia, close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, about whom I have informed the agencies about his involvement in the paper leak, ED reached his Dungarpur residence,” said Meena.
He also alleged that a woman leader of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) was involved in the question paper leak case.
Sources in ED confirmed that Khodniya’s residence in Dungarpur was raided. The sources added that following Meena’s revelations, a team of ED officials along with the I-T Department are also searching the private lockers to ascertain if there were any irregularities.
Jalupura police station SHO Antim Sharma said that so far no FIR has been lodged with regards to the the lockers in Ganpati Plaza.
