Rajasthan: BJP to bring in top leaders for civic poll campaign

As part of its strategy, the BJP has not rolled out candidates in some of the wards and has instead decided to support independent leaders.

Campaigning for the upcoming civic elections is set to begin from Sunday and the BJP has decided to rope in several senior leaders, MLAs and local leaders to put all its might behind the party candidates. It has given the responsibility to all state office bearers and district in-charge ministers to oversee and coordinate the campaigning.

As part of its strategy, the BJP has not rolled out candidates in some of the wards and has instead decided to support independent leaders. This is a backup plan so that if the party candidates are not able to get the desired majority, BJP can claim majority with the help of these independent leaders in that particular ward.
