Mumbai-based media company Insite Digital has launched a portal,www.indiavoting.com,to create awareness among the electorates,company’s Managing Director Amit Tripathi said.
“Indian politics and current elections are the main theme of the website,which has diverse contents to cater to the ever increasing internet audiences,” Tripathi said. The portal will offer a huge data bank of elections,graphics,maps and other statistics of the past elections.
“Internet audiences want highly interactive visual-led contest and social networking opportunities. Indiavoting.com offers ‘Democrazy’ – a treasure trove for young adults and senior citizens alike – freshly created for general elections 2009,” he said.
He added that besides this,a social networking window will also be provided for voters to align or disagree with various groups on the internet in line with their political ideologies.
Moreover,the delimitation of existing constituencies has resulted in the net surfing population being a significant part of around 100 constituencies.
“The current delimitation of the constituencies has led to a scenario where the net surfing population forms a significant part of the electorate in more than a 100 constituencies.We intend to attract more than a million voters from these constituencies, Tripathi said.
