Telangana minister K T Rama Rao asks state Congress, BJP chiefs to apologise or face Rs 100 crore defamation suit

A special investigation team is currently questioning all those candidates who scored more than 100 out of 150 marks in the Group-1 prelims exams held last October. The Commission has postponed two exams and cancelled four other exams since March 11, when it first approached the police over suspected hacking of secured systems.

In a statement, KTR said the two leaders were trying to cast aspersions on him and damage his reputation. The notice said that unless the leaders refrain from making such defamatory statements and tender a public apology, minister KTR will take forward the legal proceedings and file a defamation suit in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

According to KTR, Revanth and Sanjay have proved their ignorance by dragging the Telangana government and him into the issue of paper leakage without understanding the autonomous nature of the constitutionally constituted Public Service Commission.

Stating that there is a terrible conspiracy by both the BJP and Congress to stall the entire recruitment process, Rama Rao recalled the comments of the two opposition MPs, which termed the Telangana government’s job notifications a conspiracy. Their statements that the youth should put aside their preparation and get into politics reflects these leaders’ deceitful mentality, he added.

Meanwhile, Revanth reiterated his demand for a CBI probe into the TSPSC fiasco and underlined that the SIT was working under the direct control of minister KTR. Earlier, the SIT had issued summons to both Revanth and Sanjay to cooperate with the investigation and share details and evidence they have supporting their allegations. While Revanth appeared for the questioning and allegedly submitted newspaper clips as evidence, Sanjay is yet to appear before the SIT.
