Kumar, who worked for a tech firm in Hyderabad' Madhapur, had moved back into the city three days ago after working remotely from his native town Guntur in Andhra Pradesh for some time.
A software engineer was found dead at his brother’s residence in Hyderabad’s Puppalaguda Thursday evening. C Vinod Kumar, 32, allegedly died by suicide owing to fear of losing his job, police said Friday.
Narsingi police have registered a case and started an investigation. According to officers, the family members of the deceased said Kumar was stressed over his work and unable to bear the pressures of the job. He was worried that he may lose his job and took the extreme step when his brother and wife stepped outside, Sub-Inspector D Balaraju said.
Kumar, who worked for a tech firm in Hyderabad’ Madhapur, had moved back into the city three days ago after working remotely from his native town Guntur in Andhra Pradesh for some time. While he temporarily lived with his brother in Hyderabad, his wife and daughter stayed back in Guntur.
“He was depressed and worried about the job and its work-from-home nature. On a couple of occasions, he had shared with his brother the fear of losing his job. We have not recovered any suicide note,” the SI said, adding that the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem examination.
