Two trains collided at Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad on Monday morning injuring several passengers. A Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) train crashed into Hyderabad Kurnool Hundry Express which had halted at the Kacheguda station.
A few coaches of the MMTS train were derailed leaving the loco pilots of the local train seriously injured while at least 30 passengers received injuries.

A medical relief van and accident relief train have been rushed to the accident spot. B B Singh, Additional General Manager, said that an enquiry would be conducted.
Officials said an error in signalling resulted in the local train switching tracks and colliding with the stationary Intercity Express. A major mishap was averted as the local train was slowing down to make a halt at the same station.
Several trains were affected due to the accident.
