With number of coaches doubled, Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express sees increased patronage
The Railways has also reduced the travel time of the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train in each direction by 15 minutes.
The Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Tirupati has been hugely popular, according to the Railways, and has enjoyed consistently high patronage of more than 130 per cent in both directions. (Express photo by Jaipal Singh/File) After doubling the number of coaches to address the rising demand, the Vande Bharat Express train running between Secunderabad and Tirupati Wednesday began its first journey with an improved patronage of 109 per cent, said South Central Railway (SCR).
Starting Wednesday, the SCR has also reduced the travel time of the journey in each direction by 15 minutes. The entire journey is now covered in 8 hours and 15 minutes, instead of 8 hours and 30 minutes.

From eight coaches earlier, the number of coaches has now been increased to 16. With this, the train now has 1,128 seats, instead of 530. This includes 104 seats in Executive Class and another 1,024 seats in Chair Car.
