CM Patel to launch Van Mahotsav in Panchmahal
According to an official statement, Vruksh Rath will be taken out in various districts from where saplings will be distributed to people.
During the state function in Panchmahal district, Patel will virtually inaugurate crocodile rescue centre in Pavagadh, Animal Care Centre in Palitana and Wolf Soft Release Centre at Nadabet in Banaskantha district.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will launch the 74th edition of Van Mahotsav in Gujarat from Panchmahal district on Thursday, government spokesperson and senior Minister Rushikesh Patel said after the weekly Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Patel said that as part of the celebration, various ministers and dignitaries will participate in functions in different districts on August 5. On Thursday, Patel will perform virtual ground-breaking for developing Harsiddhi Van, a forest cluster, near temple of Goddess Harsiddhi in Devbhumi Dwarka district. The forest cluster is going to be developed in a five-hectare area.

Meanwhile, the state will also celebrate World Tribal Day on August 9. While a state-level celebration will be held at Songadh of Tapi district in Patel’s presence, celebrations will be organised in all the 27 tribal-dominated talukas of the state.
