As of December 2022, the request for allocation of 196.9 hectares of additional forest land at Hazira/Suvali to ArcelorMittal Group is pending, the government stated. The government also said the company gave 206.38 hectares of non-forest land in Bhuj taluka of Kutch and an additional Rs 6.93 crore for afforestation.
