Woman’s torso found in sack on Ring Road

A woman’s body was found in a sack on Ring Road on Friday. The police said the woman hasn’t been identified yet and only her torso was found packed in a sack near IP Park.

A woman’s body was found in a sack on Ring Road on Friday. The police said the woman hasn’t been identified yet and only her torso was found packed in a sack near IP Park.

“We received a call by an anonymous person around 5 am that an unattended bag was lying on the road. When we reached the spot,the sack was found,” a police officer said. “We are checking details of all missing persons in the area to establish the identity. The body has been sent for post-mortem to the Lok Narayan Jai Prakash hospital.”

The police said it was clearly a case of murder,but whether the woman was sexually assaulted or not is being investigated. “We dot know the motive of the crime,” a senior police officer said. A case has been registered at the IP Estate police station. Meanwhile,few locals are being questioned in the case. “We have made teams and are investigating the case from all possible angles,” the police officer said.
