A 32-year-old engineer employed with Panasonic, who had gone to repair a washing machine in Uttam Nagar, was allegedly framed in a sex racket by three persons, two men and a woman, who impersonated as police officers.
Two men,the engineer claimed, extorted Rs 10,000 from him and made him sign a confession letter stating that he was caught in the act with the woman. Police have arrested the woman in the case.
According to police, the victim,a resident of Uttam Nagar, had gone to Om Vihar to attend to a complaint of a woman who claimed that her washing machine, purchased from his store a month ago, needed repair. The incident occurred on October 27.
“I went to her house and as soon as I got in,the woman locked me inside and directed me to a girl who was seated in another room. She asked me to establish physical relations with her. When I refused, she called out to two men, both six foot tall, dressed in civil clothes but wearing shoes that resembled those worn by the police. The two men had a Delhi Police file as well,” the engineer said in his complaint to police.
