Will bring Nyay if we win: Congress

Delhi Congress chief Subhash Chopra Wednesday said the party will implement the NYAY scheme if it comes to power in the capital. Under the scheme, the eldest woman members from economically weaker families would be given Rs 72,000 per year to augment the family income.

During the Lok Sabha polls, the then party chief Rahul Gandhi had emphasised on the same minimum income guarantee scheme, which the Congress called Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY). Under it, Rs 72,000 a year was promised to 20% of the poorest households in India.
