The Urban Development Ministry has approved a project to extend water supply to Faridabad at an estimated cost of Rs 49 crores. At present,the water supply network in the city is dependent on ground water,covering about 35 per cent of the city. There are 240 tube wells in the city of which 43 are unfit for consumption. The project is expected to be completed in 13 months.
