Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay Sunday said the party has offered a job to Dr Shelly Narang, wife of Pankaj Narang, the dentist who was beaten to death by a mob last week. She has been offered a job in one of the hospitals under the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).

“I discussed it with the SDMC mayor and commissioner before promising the job to Narang’s wife. She is not a practising doctor but has a Bachelors degree in Dental Science. So, we offered her a job at any of the hospitals of the south corporation. We hope she will take it,” said Upadhyay.

He also said the BJP is giving the job on compassionate grounds as Narang was the sole breadwinner of the family and no one should politicise the issue.
