Unemployed at 31,engineer kills self in North Delhi house

A 31-year-old unemployed engineer was found dead in his North Delhi residence on Friday. The police said the body of the deceased,Govind Joshi,was found in a decomposed state and he had died at least five days ago.

A 31-year-old unemployed engineer was found dead in his North Delhi residence on Friday. The police said the body of the deceased,Govind Joshi,was found in a decomposed state and he had died at least five days ago.

According to police officers,Joshi was a B Tech graduate and was unemployed. His body was found after the police broke open the door of his flat. His father,Vishambhar Joshi,a retired official of the Defence Research and Development Organisation,informed the police that his son was not opening the door of his house and a foul smell was coming from inside. A senior police officer said,“The door was locked from inside. We broke it open and found Govind’s body on the bed. It was in a highly decomposed state.”

The cause of death has not been ascertained. The police said they were waiting for the autopsy report. The deceased did not leave a suicide note.

Govind had graduated from a Ghaziabad-based institute and had been unemployed for the past few months. He was reported depressed due to his unemployment.
