The 25-year-old woman who was allegedly raped in an Uber cab in December last year hired human rights lawyer Colin Gonsalves on Saturday to challenge the Delhi High Court order to recall 13 prosecution witnesses in the ongoing trial at a Delhi fast track court.
“I will move the Supreme Court on Monday challenging the Delhi High Court order allowing the defence plea to recall 13 prosecution witnesses,” Gonsalves told The Indian Express.
The High Court has allowed the defence’s plea to recall 13 prosecution witnesses in the case. While the defence had sought to re-examine all 27 witnesses, the High Court allowed re-examination of only 13 witnesses.
Presently, the fast track court is recording the testimony of the victim as per the High Court order.
