Traffic congestion is likely in New Delhi district and Central Delhi on Friday and Saturday as people are expected in large numbers at the conferences and events being organised at Ramlila Maidan and Jama Masjid by the Markazi Jamiat Ahle-Hadees Hind.
The Grand Imam of the Holy Mosque in Mecca,Dr Saud Bin Ibrahim Al-Shuraim,will be addressing the conferences and heading prayers at the two venues.
Traffic snarls can be expected on the Ring Road,Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg,Netaji Subhash Marg,Jawaharlal Nehru Marg,Asaf Ali Road,Bhav Bhuti Marg,Ranjit Singh Marg and Minto Road.
Access to the New Delhi railway station will be from DDU Marg,Minto Bridge and Ajmeri Gate Chowk.
During the prayers at Ramlila Maidan between 12 noon and 3 pm on Friday and 4 pm and 9 pm on Saturday Jawaharlal Nehru Marg from Delhi Gate,Asaf Ali Road,Minto Road from Shivaji statue up to Hamdard Chowk will be closed.
Traffic will also not be allowed on Ranjit Singh Marg towards Guru Nanak Chowk.
Those driving to Ramlila Maidan to attend the events can park their vehicles at Mata Sundari Complex,Press Road,Jehangir Road,Rajghat Powerhouse Road,the slip road on Ring Road and Yamuna Velodrome Road under the flyover.
