According to the police, on December 20, the girl’s father made a PCR call and alleged that the minor had been forcibly fed alcohol. “During subsequent enquiry and recording of the victim’s statement, a more serious offence was revealed,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami said. When a medical examination was being conducted, the girl allegedly told the police that she had been sexually assaulted as well, said police.
According to the girl’s statement, she was lured into a vacant house by Narottam (28), who runs a salon. There he introduced the girl to his friend, Rishabh (26). The two then allegedly forced her to consume alcohol before sexually assaulting her, police added.
A case against the two men was registered under Section 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the POCSO Act, along with Section 70 (gang rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Both accused were arrested following interrogation, police said.
“A special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to ensure a speedy and time-bound probe in the matter. The SIT has been directed to complete the investigation and file the chargesheet as soon as possible. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway,” said DCP Swami.
