Two incidents of road rage were reported in the Capital on Wednesday evening. The first was reported in Vasant Kunj around 7.30 pm. Arjun Sen (47) was attacked by four unidentified men after a speeding Alto scraped his car.
According to police,Sen was on Rajokri Road in Vasant Kunj when the Alto tried to overtake his car. Sen yelled at the occupant of the Alto and the two got into a scuffle. They were joined by four other occupants of the car. According to Sen,they punched and kicked him several times before passersby rushed to his rescue.
A passerby informed police and Sen was rushed to hospital. Police arrested one Sandeep Yadav from the spot.
In the second incident,a man and his son were assaulted by a property dealer around 9 pm on Wednesday. Sunil Kumar,an official with the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI),was going home in his Nano with his son Puneet and other family members.
They were on their way to a restaurant when a Scorpio,which was ahead of them,applied brakes suddenly. The drivers of the two cars got into an argument,which lead to a scuffle.
The argument soon lead to a scuffle. When Kumars son came to his fathers rescue,the SUV driver snatched the stick of a guard standing nearby and began to assault them. Passersby made a PCR call and the two were taken to hospital.
The Scorpio driver,identified as Rajesh Tomar,was arrested.
