Three new routes for U-special buses

Delhi Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami on Tuesday inaugurated three Delhi University special routes from North Campus

Delhi Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami on Tuesday inaugurated three Delhi University special routes from North Campus — Patel Chest (North Campus) to Shayam Lal College via Yamuna Vihar,Patel Chest to Najafgarh and Aditi College to Rithala Metro station.

“Delhi government is committed to providing reliable public transport to students and,therefore,has been connecting various colleges with the colonies where students live,” Goswami said. He said the frequency of the buses would be improved during peak hours.

These buses,known as U-special buses,ply on several routes connecting Delhi University’s North and South campuses with various parts of Delhi,besides providing connectivity to colleges located in the East and West.

“On Thursday,four new routes are expected to be introduced for improving connectivity of South campus with other areas,’’ an official said.
